Survey Reveals 39% of PC Gamers Are Happy to Wait for GTA 6, Even Without a Release Window
A PC Gamer poll shows that nearly 4 in 10 PC players are content to wait for GTA 6's PC version, despite Rockstar offering no timeline for its arrival.
When it comes to GTA 6 on PC, patience appears to be alive and well — at least for a significant chunk of the gaming community. According to a reader poll conducted by PC Gamer, 39% of respondents said they are perfectly content to wait for the PC version of GTA 6, even though there is currently no indication of when it might actually arrive.
Rockstar Games has so far only confirmed GTA 6 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, with no official word on a PC release date or even a formal announcement that one is coming — though a PC version is widely expected given the studio's history. That uncertainty doesn't seem to be rattling a large portion of the PC player base, who appear willing to sit tight however long it takes.
The findings paint an interesting picture of player loyalty and anticipation surrounding what is arguably the most anticipated game in recent memory. Despite the console-first approach Rockstar has taken, a notable slice of PC gamers are showing confidence that the wait will ultimately be worth it.
Of course, 39% also means the majority of respondents feel differently — whether that's frustration, indifference, or plans to play on console in the meantime. Still, the results suggest that Rockstar's PC audience isn't going anywhere, even in the face of a prolonged and undefined wait.
With GTA 6's console launch itself still on the horizon, PC players are essentially waiting on a wait — but if this poll from PC Gamer is anything to go by, a substantial portion of them are in no rush to complain about it.
