GTA 6 Fans Think Jason's Physique Hints at a Bodybuilding System

GameSpot — GTA·July 1, 2026

Screenshots showing GTA 6's Jason with noticeably different muscle mass have fans convinced Rockstar is building a fitness system into the game.

Newly released GTA 6 screenshots are fueling speculation that the game will feature a fitness or bodybuilding mechanic — and the evidence, while not conclusive, is hard to dismiss outright.

Fans noticed that main character Jason looks significantly more muscular in one screenshot compared to another. According to GameSpot, citing a roundup from GamesRadar, the difference in biceps, triceps, traps, and overall back size between the two images is striking enough that many believe it points to an in-game system that lets players build — or neglect — Jason's physique over time.

Skeptics in the community have pushed back, arguing that lighting conditions and camera angles can dramatically alter how a character's body reads on screen. A well-lit pump at the right angle can make anyone look like they've been hitting the weights hard. That's a fair point, but the gap between the two images does appear to go beyond what a flattering angle alone would explain.

The theory gets extra weight from the May 2025 GTA 6 trailer, which briefly showed Jason benching heavy iron on a beach somewhere in Vice City. At the time it read as a fun character moment; now fans are treating it as a deliberate hint that working out will carry actual in-game consequences for his build.

GTA San Andreas famously let players sculpt CJ's body through diet and exercise, so the idea of Rockstar revisiting that mechanic with modern fidelity isn't far-fetched. Nothing has been confirmed, but with another trailer still on the horizon, this is exactly the kind of detail Rockstar may address sooner rather than later.
